As of last month (January 2026), Cole First and I officially became founders of an LLC: Soundcheckd, which is now live and available on the App Store.

What is Soundcheckd?

Soundcheckd is a social app for concerts.

Think Letterboxd, Goodreads, or Beli but for live music.

You can:

  • Leave reviews for concerts you attend.
  • Tag friends you went with to the concert.
  • Like and comment on shows your friends saw.
  • Discover what concerts are trending in your area.

It’s built for people who care about live music and want a better way to remember and share the shows they experience.

How did we build it?

We started in early 2025, and it took about a year of development to get here.

There were multiple infrastructure iterations, plenty of technical pivots, and more than a few roadblocks, including new API restrictions (looking at you, Spotify). At the same time, we benefited significantly from the continued advancement of LLMs and modern IDEs like Cursor, which genuinely changed how we were able to build.

That said, seeing Soundcheckd live on the App Store for the first time was an incredibly proud moment for both of us.

And this is just the beginning!
